A Symphony
of Elegance

Sofia, Bulgaria · 2022

An interior where classical ornament, contemporary forms and deep green tones compose a setting for everyday life.

A Symphony of Elegance brings together the richness of classical interiors and the precision of contemporary design. Inspired by the intimate atmosphere of a traditional British private members’ club, the deep green palette establishes a sense of warmth and quiet grandeur.

Classical ornament finds a new expression within bespoke contemporary furniture. Quartzite with grey-green veins connects the natural stone surfaces to the surrounding colours, while carefully layered lighting reveals the depth of materials and decorative details.

Aristocratic elegance and urban life meet through a composition of material, proportion and light—an interior conceived as frozen music.

A Classical Language, Reimagined
Traditional ornament becomes part of contemporary furniture.

Classical decorative motifs are integrated into furniture conceived for modern living. Their intricate rhythms bring depth and character to contemporary forms, creating a dialogue between historical references and bespoke design.

This relationship shapes the identity of the interior. Ornament and proportion are considered together, giving familiar classical elements a fresh architectural context.

The Depth of Green
A rich palette creates an intimate atmosphere.

Deep green recalls the distinctive character of a traditional British private members’ club. It lends the interior a sense of composure, providing a rich setting for expressive stone and decorative furniture.

The colour also connects the different elements of the scheme. Echoed in the quartzite’s natural veining, it creates continuity between the broader surfaces and the finer material details.

A Composition in Stone
Grey-green veins introduce a natural rhythm.

Quartzite brings movement to the interior through its flowing veins and tonal variations. Its grey-green colouring complements the surrounding palette, giving the composition a shared material language.

Alongside carefully designed ornament, the stone introduces an unpredictable pattern shaped by nature. These two kinds of detail enrich one another, balancing precise craftsmanship with organic expression.

A Table at the Centre
Bespoke design gives gathering a sense of occasion.

The custom-designed table places quartzite at the heart of the dining experience. Its top presents the stone’s natural pattern as a central feature, connecting the furniture to the wider interior.

Created specifically for the project, the table brings together everyday function and a more ceremonial quality—the pleasure of gathering around a piece designed for its setting.

Light as an Instrument
Layered illumination gives the composition depth.

Multiple sources of light work together to establish the atmosphere. They reveal material textures, emphasise ornament and bring definition to individual elements within the space.

The interplay of illumination and shadow adds a theatrical dimension. Light becomes part of the design’s rhythm, bringing warmth and richness to the interior.

An Everyday Opera
The kitchen becomes a space with emotional presence.

The kitchen is conceived with the sense of occasion associated with an opera house. Rich colour, decorative detail and expressive materials give daily routines a setting that feels considered and celebratory.

Contemporary furniture keeps the composition connected to modern life, while classical influences lend it grandeur. The result is a domestic space with a distinctive theatrical character.

Frozen Music
Material, ornament and light form a shared composition.

The project’s title reflects the way its elements work together. Classical motifs establish rhythm, stone introduces movement, deep green gives depth, and lighting draws attention to moments of detail.

As in music, the character emerges from the relationship between the parts. A Symphony of Elegance translates that idea into an interior to be lived in—a composition held in material and experienced over time.
